01 About Edge Helmets

About Edge Helmets.

  • Who is Edge Helmets?

Edge Helmets is a rider-founded helmet brand built around one idea — protection should never compromise style or performance. Every shell, liner, and visor we ship is engineered, tested, and finished with riders in mind.

  • Where are your helmets designed and made?

Our helmets are designed in-house by our engineering team and manufactured in facilities certified to international safety and quality standards.

  • Are you an authorized retailer?

Yes — every helmet purchased through edgehelmets.com is sold direct from the brand, with a full manufacturer warranty included.

  • Do you have a physical store?

We are currently an online-only brand. This lets us pass savings directly to riders and ship anywhere — fast.

  • Do you sell wholesale or to dealers?

Yes. If you operate a shop or dealership, email wholesale@edgehelmets.com and our team will be in touch.

  • How can I contact customer service?

The fastest way to reach us is through the Contact page. We typically respond within one business day.

02 Helmets & Safety

Helmets & Safety.

  • Are Edge Helmets DOT and ECE certified?

Yes. Every road-going Edge Helmet meets or exceeds DOT FMVSS 218 standards, and select models are also ECE 22.06 certified. The certification label is sewn into the chin strap and printed on the shell.

  • Which standards do your helmets meet?

Depending on the model, our helmets are tested against DOT (US), ECE 22.06 (Europe), and where applicable SHARP and SNELL M2025 protocols. Certifications are listed in each product description.

  • How long is a helmet safe to use?

We recommend replacing your helmet every 5 years from the date of manufacture, or immediately after any significant impact — even if no damage is visible.

  • Should I replace my helmet after a crash?

Yes. EPS liners are single-impact — once they have absorbed the energy of a crash, they no longer protect to the original spec. Replace it, even if it looks fine.

  • How should I clean and store my helmet?

Use warm water and mild soap on the shell. Removable liners can be hand-washed and air-dried. Store the helmet away from direct sunlight, fuels, and solvents.

  • How much does an Edge Helmet weigh?

    Average weight by model:

    • Open Face — 1,150 g
    • Modular — 1,650 g
    • Full Face Composite — 1,450 g
    • Full Face Carbon — 1,250 g
  • Are Edge Helmets safe for kids?

Our youth line is certified to the same standards as our adult helmets, with shells specifically tuned for smaller head sizes. Look for the "Youth" tag on each product page.

03 Sizing & Fit

Sizing & Fit.

  • How do I measure my head for the right size?

Wrap a soft tape measure around the widest part of your head — roughly 2 cm above the eyebrows. Take the measurement at the largest reading and compare it to our sizing chart below.

  • What is your sizing chart?

    Head circumference (cm / inches):

    • XS — 53–54 cm / 20.9–21.3 in
    • S — 55–56 cm / 21.7–22.0 in
    • M — 57–58 cm / 22.4–22.8 in
    • L — 59–60 cm / 23.2–23.6 in
    • XL — 61–62 cm / 24.0–24.4 in
    • XXL — 63–64 cm / 24.8–25.2 in
  • I'm between two sizes — should I size up or down?

Always size down. A new helmet should feel snug — the liner will break in about 15–20% over the first 15 hours of riding.

  • How should a helmet fit?

A correctly fitted helmet sits level on your head, hugs the cheeks firmly, and does not rotate forward or backward when you shake your head. There should be no pressure points.

  • Do you offer XS, S, M, L, XL sizes?

Yes. Most Edge Helmets are available from XS through XXL. Availability varies by model — check the size selector on each product page.

  • Do you offer women's sizing?

Our XS and S sizes are tuned for smaller head shapes, and our liner-pad system lets riders dial in a precise fit regardless of model.

  • How do I know my helmet fits properly?

After wearing it for 20 minutes, you should feel firm, even pressure with no hot spots. The chin strap should sit snug against your throat with two fingers between strap and chin.

09 Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting.

  • I never received my order confirmation email

Check your spam or promotions folder first. If it's not there, email support@edgehelmets.com with the name and email used at checkout and we'll resend it.

  • My discount code isn't working

Make sure the code is entered exactly as shown (no spaces) and that the offer hasn't expired. Some promo codes can't be combined with other discounts or sale items.

  • My helmet feels too tight or too loose

A new helmet should feel snug for the first 10–15 hours. If after break-in the fit is still off, our cheek pads come in three thicknesses — contact us for a free swap within 30 days.

  • The visor is hard to open or close

Wipe the visor pivot points with a clean, dry cloth, then apply a small amount of silicone lubricant. Avoid petroleum-based products — they degrade the polycarbonate.

  • My bluetooth intercom won't connect to my helmet

Bluetooth pairing is handled by the intercom unit, not the helmet. Reset the unit per its manufacturer's instructions and try pairing again.

  • My order arrived damaged

Photograph the box, packaging, and product and email support@edgehelmets.com within 7 days. We'll ship a free replacement immediately.

  • I'm having trouble checking out

Try clearing your browser cache or switching to an incognito window. If the issue persists, send a screenshot to support@edgehelmets.com and we'll help complete the order.

  • I can't log into my account

Try the "Forgot password?" flow first — most login issues are resolved with a fresh reset link. If that fails, contact support and we'll help recover access.
